Creative cutting with the Big Shot

If you'd like to learn how to cut creatively with your Big Shot, here is a quick hint on the basic technique.

Step 1: Stamp your image to be cut out

Step 2: Place your die over the image, selecting where you want the cut to be. In this case I wanted the wings to protrude outside the circle. Remember the cutting line is on the INSIDE of the circle.

Step 3: Place the top cutting mat to finish at the edge of where you want the cut to be. If there is no top mat pressure - there will be no cut. Pass the "sandwich" through your Big Shot.

Step 4: the partially cut circle can be completed using Paper Snips to cut around the perimeter of the protruding wings.

Step 5: Mat your image and add to a card or gift tag. At this stage you can alter the alignment of the plane by simply rotating the circle a little.
